I run,
The soft grass
Flattening underneath my toes.
My heartbeat matches
The rhythm of my feet.
A shy smile
Creeps onto my face.
That was then.

My eyes open.
I see a world
Full of love, hope, and life.
My soul flies high,
Soaring through the brilliant, white clouds.
I look up at the sky
And embrace the warmth of the sun.
That was then.

I sit in front of a crackling fire,
Warming my fingertips.
Watching gentle snowflakes
Float down from the sky.
I sit there
Only slightly aware
Of the room full of laughter.
That was then.

I sit on a cold, cruel tile floor.
Listening to the harsh silence.
Remebering.
A silent tear
Rolls down my cheek.
This is now.

it is great how u keep the suspense going but you not need to shock the reader ,by crying in the end.***sigh***

yes she start of strong, firm going on with life care free,but no one can take depression so long her fight just end
